Ward 1 Community Agreements Form

Tucson City Council Member Lane Santa Cruz is honored to make the Ward 1 Community Room and Conference Room available for community use. The following are the guidelines for usage in addition to the community agreements for this space. All functions and events must be free and open to the public. City functions take precedence over other scheduled activities. If it becomes necessary for the City to utilize the room, you will be notified as soon as possible. Facility use is for civic or community-related purposes. Examples of appropriate use are the following: Neighborhood Association meetings Discussion of topics relating to a City issue (rezoning, economic development project, etc. Non-profit organizations Facilities are not available for the following uses: Campaign or political activities Meetings related to measures/candidates that will appear on a ballot No commercial use (e.g. commercial programs and programs designed to sell products or solicit business Space is not intended for private parties/events Reservation process: Facilities must be reserved at least two weeks in advance. Facilities may not be reserved more than 90 days before use to take place. Facilities may be used no more than three times in a three month period. Facility keys must be picked up by 5 p.m. on the day of the event (or Friday if a weekend event). Failure to do so will constitute cancellation of event. Normal prohibited behavior is observed (no alcohol, smoking, illegal drug use) Groups/Organizations/Users are responsible for: Setting up the room for their use and for clean up afterwards. At the conclusion of the event, furniture must be returned to the configuration established by the office. The “user(s)” that reserved the room are responsible for any damage to facility property and any extraordinary janitorial costs; “Users” must ensure that all doors to the outside are locked, and the key has been deposited in the mail slot following use of the meeting space. Failure to adhere to any of the above agreements will result in loss of room privileges. Please be aware that the capacity of our Ward 1 Community Room is 49 persons maximum.
